Nestling in the south-eastern corner of the Peak District National Park, Winster is a picturesque village with many historic stone built houses and the remarkable 16th Century Market House at its heart.  Away from Main Street, there are many hidden gems along the ‘ginnels’ or small alleyways scattered around the village.

 

Chatsworth House, Matlock and Bakewell are within easy reach and for walking or cycling, the High Peak and Tissington Trails and the Limestone Way are nearby. The community shop & post office is well stocked and just 2 doors away. The village also boasts 2 pubs serving home cooked food and cask ales. There are also 2 more pubs in nearby Birchover.
