On your arrival the gas AGA oven in the kitchen may be switched off particularly during summer months.
If you do not intend to use the AGA please leave all settings as you find them.
If you wish to cook on the AGA you will need to turn it on 4 hours in advance. To do this look for the switch in the cupboard base unit immediately to the left of the AGA and turn it on. Please do not alter the settings on the AGA.
After approx. 4 hours the temperature thermometer on the top right of the AGA should indicate the correct operating temperature.
For further information please contact our local representative.
Winster Hall has two BBQs available for you to use in the garden. The mats on the grill do not need to be removed. You can cook on them which reduces grease dripping into the BBQ and therefore they are easier to clean. The mats can be hand washed or put into the dishwasher. Please replace when cleaned.
Please ensure you leave the BBQs as you find them, otherwise we will unfortunately have to deduct £25 from your good housekeeping bond for us to clean them.
Blankets and Linen
All bed linen and towels are supplied, apart from that needed for the travel cot. We find parents prefer to bring their own, so this is not provided. Should you need extra blankets, they are stored in the far left hand cupboard in the shower room attached to Hartington on the top floor.
Breakages happen, we know that. We'd really appreciate it though it you could let us know if anything gets broken so we can replace it before the next guests come in.
Winster Hall is perfect space to celebrate that special family occasion. If you would like to arrange outside catering, you can find the details on our preferred caterers on the local contacts page, they are familiar with the layout of our property and are happy to provide you with a quote for their services; please contact them directly.
If you have requested a travel cot when selecting your bedroom layout, it will be set up for you on arrival. Please bring your own linen.
On the day of your departure please vacate the property promptly by 10.00am. We hope you can appreciate our housekeeping staff need as much time as possible to prepare the property for our next guests. Please leave the house as you found it and replace any furniture that has been moved.
Dining Room Table

The control dials are on the bottom right hand side of the appliance.
To ignite, turn the rear dial anti-clockwise through 90 degrees and hold down.
Once the pilot light is lit, turn this dial a further 90 degrees anti-clockwise to light the fire. Please depress this dial and turn to ensure the pilot light is extinguished when you turn the fire off.
The front dial is a thermostat to set the heat output.
First floor sitting room
The control dial is below the fire behind the removable grill plate.
To ignite, turn the dial anti-clockwise through 90 degrees and hold down. If the dial fails to ignite the gas please use the long reach lighter found on the mantel piece.
Once the pilot light is lit, turn this dial a further 90 degrees anti-clockwise to light the fire.
Please ensure gas fires are off before you leave the property or go to bed.
